For over 30 years, R&W Concrete Contractors has provided structural and site concrete work enhancing the urban and environmental landscape of the Bay Area and Northern California. Committed to responsible growth, R&W’s projects include the new Bay Bridge, water treatment plants, reservoirs, pump stations, rail stations, light rail systems, three Bay Area airports, highways, municipal buildings, city streets and parks. R&W’s highly trained and skilled workforce has built a reputation for superior quality work, cooperative professionalism, and the ability to meet and beat critical time schedules.
R&W Concrete Contractors was established in 1975 providing quality flatwork, such as decks, slabs, concrete paving, and site work. Since then, R&W has expanded its expertise with structural concrete and has added ‘A’ General Contracting and ‘B’ Engineering licenses. R&W Concrete’s highly skilled field crews and administrative staff are especially trained and experienced with the special requirements of public works projects, and have facilitated the timely and successful completions of such projects for both general contractors and public agencies.
Performing projects with critical time schedules is one of R&W’s specialties. At Hetch Hetchy’s Priest Reservoir Bypass pipeline, R&W’s crew completed its work ahead of the scheduled 45 days, allowing San Francisco’s drinking water supply to continue without service impact. On the New Bay Bridge W2 footings, R&W was able to provide an around-the-clock workforce to place and finish two mass concrete footings of over 5,000 CUY each and save the project schedule 45 days from the baseline.
R&W’s record of quality, professionalism, and reliability, together with excellent credit and superior business practices have enabled us to have good working relationships with many public agencies, such as Caltrans, City and County of San Francisco, Port of Oakland, Santa Clara Valley Transit Authority, and general contractors that include Granite Rock/Pavex Construction, Monterey Mechanical, and Stacy and Witbeck.
